Any thoughts on Coca-Cola’s new energy drink – ‘Mother’ – that was aimed at the male youth market? Its competitors were Red Bull & Gatorade. The brand was a failure as its revenues & market share were well below expected. After comments about the product’s rather unsavoury blend of ingredients that left consumers wanting, Coke’s changed the taste & has re-launched the product. But is this enough for an ailing brand?
